Sermon: As exiles in the land

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” – Jeremiah 29:11

We often see and hear this verse from Jeremiah quoted but the context of the chapter discusses the way Israel had to engage as exiles in the land. In his message, Rev. Dr. Leroy Barber asks all of us how we engage the communities that God has put us in.

Rev. Dr. Leroy Barber serves on the Greater Northwest Area’s Innovation Vitality Team as Director of Innovation for an Engaged Church.
